Recent news? I recently became an aunt for the first time. I have fun baby-sitting her and making her into a little Irish fan!
Why did you join 'BASS? I was looking for new people to meet and things to do in the South Bend area and one of my friends had heard about BASS so I looked it up and started attending a few events.
Favorite ‘BASS event? I really like 7@7 because I am more comfortable with a smaller group of people and I love finding out about restaurants in South Bend that I have not tried yet.
How did you hear about ‘BASS? Like I said, one of my friends referred me and I signed up for a service event and really enjoyed it.
What do you do for a living? Customer Service Representative in the Notre Dame Ticket Office.
How would your friends describe you? A good listener, good planner, and willing to try branch out and try new things. I’m also pretty introverted so if no one is able to attend an event with me I am perfectly happy going by myself!
What’s your ‘BASS experience been like so far? I have enjoyed branching out and meeting new people. I have met some friends that I have enjoyed hanging out with outside of official BASS events as well.
Favorite local restaurant? I go for anyplace that has an outdoor patio for summertime dining, but I do really like Between the Buns for good old comfort food.
Any advice for new people? My first event was a service event and I found that was a great way to meet people without feeling like you were forced into a social situation. Serving together you automatically connect with people and there’s usually a restaurant get-together after the event if you want to do more socializing!
How has 'BASS affected your experience living in Michiana? I had always heard of places and restaurants that I wanted to try but BASS was really the avenue it took to experience most of them. I also like that it has broadened my circle of friends.
Favorite book, music or movie? I read a lot of different things, but of course Harry Potter is one of the best. But I will read any genre that interests me.
Any Pets? Nope.
Hobbies? Watching ND sports, reading, volunteering at Granger Community Church.
Favorite vacation spot? Ever since my first trip in 2008, Disney World has to top that list. I am planning my third trip for March of 2012.
