Favorite weekend activity? I love to do all kinds of things such as hanging out with friends, bike riding, rollerblading, or going to see live music.

Any pets? No but I plan to get a dog someday, maybe two.

Why did you join 'BASS? I really wanted to make connections with other people in the area who liked to do the same things I did and who were around my age. And I found them!

What are you listening to? Right now, it's all about the classic and new songs of summer.

Favorite 'BASS event? The pub crawl is so much fun!

Hobbies? Dancing (especially swing and salsa), taking road trips, writing, and enjoying the local music and arts scene.

Favorite Vacation? Anything near water.

How did you hear about 'BASS? In 2003, my student teaching supervisor told me about 'BASS Club but didn't have a name for it so I forgot about it, even though it sounded interesting.  Four years later, I worked for Club Landing in the office for the summer, and the owner said "You didn't know about 'BASS Club?" and told me all about it.

Favorite local points of interest? I love that the beach is just 40 minutes away and try to go as much as possible.  I also go to Beutter Park often to run, bike, or walk, and am often in downtown South Bend, enjoying the newest entertainment editions.

Why did you join 'BASS? I was really searching for a way to connect with other young professionals and 'BASS was just the ticket.

What do you do for a living? This is my first year as a Professor of Communication and Writing at Ivy Tech.  The four years before that, I was a high school English teacher in Indiana and Florida.

What's your 'BASS experience been like so far? I've had such a good time! I've met some really cool people, done cool things, and made some wonderful friends.

Favorite local restaurant? The Chocolate Cafe.

How has 'BASS affected your experience living in Michiana? Knowing there are people in this area who are like me and like to do the same things I do has made all the difference. It has made the Michiana area a place that is not only my home, but a place I can truly live.
