About Us
- In 2003 a group of active Generation X/Y ‘Benders got together over some pizza and talked about how tough it was to meet others and get to know the places in our area. They realized that each possessed the talent and connections to do something about it. In August 2003, the `Bend Area Service / Sports / Social Club was formed and `BASS hosted our first (of many) events that brought together new and existing Generation X/Y 'Benders to help make it easier to expand their network of friends in fun and relaxed way. Over the past six years `BASS has worked hard to offer and participate in positive, enriching, and affordable social, sports, and service events for adults between 21-39 by partnering with numerous area businesses and charities. Today, we’re a 501(c)4 not-for-profit organization dedicated to staying a valuable resource for new and existing Generation X/Y ‘Benders to connect with others and while helping learn about and shape the `Bend area into a community younger adults can be proud to call home.
